Beautifully written and respected, thank you. It was not my intent in no way to diminish the plight of asylum seekers in any way. I’m well aware of the role decades of US Imperialism and unjust wars have created for many of these ppl, especially the coup in Honduras that created the mass exodus during the Obama admin. However, I stand by my view that none of this can be compared to slavery, a horrible crime and holocaust that the US has never atoned for!
