I actually decided to ignore this woman Laina but wanted to add that not once did I say that Rye was bi-racial, as a matter of fact both her parents are very fair skinned black people(however possibly with one or more white parents). Having said that, I went to undergrad with fair skinned, straight haired women like Rye in New Orleans and nowhere in US is the tackiness of mulatto’s vs. darker skinned black people more prevalent than there
and EVERYthing that you stated is factual
the same practices that were used in Africa re: colorization, was also used once ships docked in US
and continues to today. It’s interesting that Beyonce’s father did an interview just yesterday where he said that had she not been light skinned (sporting blonde weave) that she would not be who she is today and that darker skinned female artists are often overlooked in the industry!
