Over the past year there has been a constant echo of anger that Trump’s only agenda is to destroy Obama’s legacy and policies. However, the issue with this is instead of Liberals and especially Black people being angered by Trump’s actions, they should have instead been angered that Obama chose to embrace and amplify Bush’s horrific policies rather than overturn them. One of the most egregious of Obama’s actions was his failure to prosecute bankers, and what that failure ultimately did to Black family home ownership.
The Obama presidency was a disaster for middle-class wealth in the United States. Between 2007 and 2016, the average wealth of the bottom 99 percent dropped by $4,500. Over the same period, the average wealth of the top 1 percent rose by $4.9 million.
This drop hit the housing wealth of African Americans particularly hard. Outside of home equity, black wealth recovered its 2007 level by 2016. But average black home equity was still $16,700 lower.
Much of this decline, we will argue, can be laid at the feet of President Obama. His housing policies led directly to millions of families losing their homes. What’s more, Obama had the power — money, legislative tools, and legal leverage — to sharply ameliorate the foreclosure crisis.
He chose not to use it.
Obama road into the White House under false pretenses, with the wind of mainstream media, Wall Street and Hollywood all gleefully funding and pushing him all the way. He was the perfect Manchurin candidate for the New World Order, he even came with an unwarranted Nobel Peace Prize, that should have long since been revoked. Instead of holding Wall Street accountable, they were allowed to carefully pick his cabinet. Instead of jailing any bankers, they were given a slap on the hand and mass bailouts with taxpayer money. Instead of ending the unnecessary wars in the Middle East, Obama enhanced a war in Afghanistan and also Bush’s drone policy that killed more innocent people than it did the supposed terrorists they were claiming to be after. Instead of reversal of Bush’s terrible, ‘No Child Left Behind’, Obama continued and enhanced it. Instead of overhauling Bush’s immigration laws, Obama enhanced them and doubled down on his deportation agenda, hence the name, ‘Deporter and Chief’. Instead of overturning Bush’s tax policy, Obama made them permanent. Instead of overturning Bush’s horrific war criminal, foreign policy, Obama embraced and enhanced it. Instead of ending Bush’s horrible and unconstitutional, Patriot Act, Obama re-instated it and signed it into law. Instead of prosecuting Bush’s War Crimes, Obama granted Bush and his administration immunity.
It’s no wonder liberals, Hollywood and their corporate owned media have all tried to whitewash Bush’s horrific legacy and war crimes, because Obama shares his same political legacy. We now know why Michelle Obama, gleefully embraced George Bush, as though he were a long lost friend. The members of the 1%ers global powers, share a common goal and that is the control and suppression of the middle class, the poor and ultimate world domination. The Obama’s sold us all to be a part of that regime, and Obama’s continuation of Bush’s policies were his admission ticket.
Trump is the liberals new boogeyman, and many are angered that he is systematically undoing Obama’s policies, which is what he was elected by his constituents to do…can you image had Obama worked to overturn Bush’s policies for which he was elected to do by his constituents, instead of embracing and/or enhancing them? And please don’t tell me that Obama’s hands were tied, people have allowed Obama to hide behind being Black as an excuse to never do what was right, and especially for Black people. Obama did what he was CHOSEN and intended to do and nothing more. Obama’s election showed there are very few differences in policy by the duopoly, and the dangers of US corporate media’s propaganda machines that manipulates and controls it all. One party gives you the same polices with veiled contempt and a smile, while the other boldly does the same with rancor and zest.
