“People Are Paying Attention to Weinstein’s Accusers Because They’re Famous and White”~Jane Fonda

I made no insinuation, it’s a FACT…that MANY of those women who sat silent for decades were willing participants as long as it advanced their careers…Weinstein’s issues were widely known by all, I’d heard of his and the casting couch stories of many others for decades…and let’s be clear, that had Hillary won, Weinstein would still be the man that they all were salivating over as Hollywood royalty and the maker of dreams and stars.

I agree that the underlying structures that empower men to commit these acts are the same & that they all hing on institutionalized male dominance & power but that was not what I was talking about and was very clear on what I meant…the forms of rape that black women have dealt with at the hands of white men, are two totally different things and since you want to talk about underly structures then let’s go back to slavery and also lynching of black men and how systemic racism of black women was a DAILY form of punishment by their slave masters & racist white men…and please tell me what did black women during Jim Crow gain financially from being raped by white men and what did these rich white women gain from being assualted or raped by Weinstein? If you come up with the same successes and financial gaines, then they’re equal and I stand corrected!!!

Lastly, yes it’s abt RICH WHITE WOMEN, if this were happening to poor white women they’d be ignored along with the many black women who have been for decades…this is also no diff than the new push to put laws in place to protect Opiod users, b/c it is killing and destroying middle class and rich white people…the last I checked crack was made from cocaine but it was black people who were destroyed and sent to prison, while white people where given a pat on the hand, now the same people who backed laws to lock up poor blacks for crack, wants sympathy for Opiod addicts…
