Thanks Marin for your response. Although, I do agree with the 2 party system being a problem; I vehemently disagree with the rest of your statements.

1. You claim that only the GOP sends a message of losing a seat and bad things will happen??? Where have you been the last 6 years of Democrats and Hollywood bullying and threatening anyone who didn’t pedal their agendas or candidates?
2. You also have no idea if a candidate will win or not because when someone like Sanders or even Stein enter into the race with a viable chance, the democrats rig the primaries and other underhanded and even criminal actions to stop them. #FACTS.
3. Black people voting for democrats in mass is NOT strategic and if that’s how you claim/justify your votes then you’re part of the problem. Voting strategically would mean NOT giving dems your votes in lock step without anything tangible in return.

Your entire reply confuses me because it is the very issue that my article is about, to say that you can’t vote in line with your beliefs is disturbing, who’s forcing you not to do so? The very issues that Black folk complain about with republicans, the democrats have done to us for over 50 years and we still freely lay down and beg for more with our votes. Both parties are two heads with one body, how any Black person in 2018 doesn’t realize that by now is really disturbing.
