With #MarchForOurLives, the Democrats proved the racists frauds they are, why won’t Black People believe them?…
There’s an old saying that goes, “If a person shows you who they are, you should believe them”…the democrats and celebrities have laid out the red carpet for the Parkland, FL students and their stop gun violence agendas. Anyone with a conscience eye noticed the millions paid to organize this past weeks #MarchForOurLives rallies across the US. It didn’t take weeks, months or even years for celebrities like Oprah, Clooney and many others, to offer obscene amounts of money towards their cause. Even the great MLK family decided it would be the debutante of protests for Dr. King’s only grandchild.
Oprah who has been lauded by liberals as a good choice for POTUS, was not going to allow white Hollywood to out do her in their donations.
In 2015, Oprah Winfrey ignored the work of thousands of Black organizers as she confidently described #BlackLivesMatters as leader less movement with no specific demands. Since then, she has been silent on #BlackLivesMatter and the anti-racism work that the movement continues to do, conducting hundreds of peaceful demonstrations. She has been silent as Black voices chant and cry out for new Black people slain every year. And her silence is so loud.
Black people are not dismayed by Oprah Winfrey’s expensive support for the March for Our Lives because of the money. We are dismayed at her hypocrisy, and we demand that she and the rest of the world respect our voices and follow our leadership with the same respect and honor that they holds for these white Parkland students. Obama and Michelle even wrote a nice sweet open letter to the students of Parkland, FL., much like the open letter of support he once wrote to police during the height of Black Lives Matter protests. However, during the 8 years of Obama’s presidency, the children of Chicago (who have been fighting for years against gun violence) nor Black Lives Matter received such a loving letter of support, or any support at all.
The stockholm syndrome that African Americans continue to have with the Democratic Party is mind blowing and insulting. Rep. John Lewis and the CBC have done sit-ins and walkouts for every group and issue, but not Black Lives Matter and systemic police abuse and murders. Lewis did several sit-ins for the Miami nightclub shootings, couldn’t wait to support Parkland, FL with their planned walkouts, yet when it came to Black Lives Matter and their fight against police abuse and murders, Lewis tweeted that black kids should just thank the police as he did.
Ashley Yates, one of the ‘REAL’ Ferguson Protesters, and a beautiful spirit that I had the chance to get to know during my time on twitter, and call her a friend; wrote the above tweet that was the catalyst of this blog…reading her words and feeling her pain in each and every line, literally brought tears to my eyes…knowing that she and others like her and my friend, Darren K. Seals (mysteriously murdered) were the real Ferguson protesters and the pain and sacrifices they endured was never lauded or praised, should anger any black person who’s paying attention or not willing sheeple on the democrats plantation.
Obama’s and Michelle’s praise of Parkland students is a shameful reminder of their blatant neglect of black lives during his presidency and also, the insulting reality that they feel they can say and do anything against black people and we will allow it with glee.
Where was this undying love and praise for the millions of black students who protested during Obama’s term against police violence and gun control within our inner cities and especially their own backyard of Chicago?
Obama had no problem attacking Baltimore youth as Thugs, yet couldn’t wait to laud the March on Washington’s Pussyhat crowd, who destroyed massive amounts of property, with ‘Heatened’ praise of support.
The Democrats have shown black people who they are, it’s past time to believe them…
