You should feel no shame, the only people who should be ashamed are the NAACP as a whole, the COONgressional Black Caucus and anyone who continues to support them. As you stated the rampant gentrification going on in Atlanta is abhorrent and let’s be clear it’s white liberals who are boldly taking over black spaces…building million dollar dog parks as they walk over and around poor blacks who they’ve robbed of their communities. White liberals are doing this all across the country in what were once predominantly black cities and doing so under the leadership of black politicians and with the sanctioning and support of black orgs like NAACP…all while ranting abt an entire mountain that will NEVER be changed, and nor should it be. Don’t like it, don’t attend…erasing the racist history or racist America won’t erase the vestiges of slavery & systemic oppression that we as ADOS continue live under, but Reparations is a start.
There are so many ways to address Reparations for #ADOS that could be implemented and could have been long ago. This is strictly “my” opinion:
- Natives don’t pay taxes so why should we?
- Natives were given land, yet we were denied the land that was promised to us.
- G.I. Bill did nothing for Black people yet propped up poor whites.
- Free Post Secondary Education
- The release, erasure and expunging of ALL non violent drug cases that came about via Crime Bill and disparity in Crack vs Cocaine laws.
6. Jim Crow laws that red-lined ADOS (banking & insurance)…complete redress
7. And last but not least monetary settlements as well.
